First EVER playgroup!
We had a playgroup for the first time ever yesterday! Finally, a use for our setup in the playroom! And it cracks me up that my house has a better set-up than some daycares. It was part of my mommy group (northsidemoms.com) and there were 3 babies and 1 toddler/big kid. It was surprising to see how Maggie interacted with the other kids. She (in the sassy stripes here) really enjoyed herself. For the most part, she didn't mind the other kids playing with her toys, and even gave one of the babies a kiss! I was really happy that it went so well. Plus, it gave ME the opportunity to actually try to develop a couple of more friendships. I'm so bad at that these days. I think I just live in a small little bubble and never really care to venture outside of that bubble. It was good to step into the real world for a second and realize that not everything is yoga pants & burp cloths.

A purple couch and a talking baby
We got a slipcover for Keith's bachelor couch. It was getting awful. The cats have decided that eating the couch is a great idea, and have pretty much torn up the armrests. So it looked very ghetto and not at all attractive. Target had slipcovers, so I finally FINALLY convinced Keith that we needed one. He picked out the bright purple faux suede one. At first I wasn't sure, but now I think it's GREAT. I keep fantasizing about painting the loft some outrageous color and just making this the bright fun room of the house. Oh yeah, and Maggie says dada. All the time.

Two teeth. This was one of 70 attempts to get a picture of the sprouting teeth. They are on the lower gums, in the middle. Just peeking out. Sharp devils, they are. And Keith and I should know...she likes to CHOMP on us with them. She has been teething for a while now, but now that they have actually broken through, her gumming of our fingers is FIERCE!
I just can't believe that she has teeth. Already.
