Six months have gone

Six months. Now almost seven. I have no freaking clue where they went. Literally. It feels like just yesterday that Maggie was kicking me on the inside, now she is content to head butt me and pull my hair. And today, I felt a tooth. A tooth! What the hell happened to my little baby? I'm afraid to go to sleep for fear that I'll wake up and she'll be demanding the keys to the car, or announcing her engagement. And this ride has been such a rollercoaster. First, her eventful birth, which was waaay more than I thought it would be, with the C-section, then with the infection and rupture of my incision, and 2 months of dressing changes twice daily by home health care nurses. The following post partum depression that followed, and to top it all off, a baby who bordered on colicky. Enough to make a girl wanna crawl under the covers and not come out until...well, until the baby is six months old. But we made it. Keith and I somehow managed to grow so much closer than I thought we were, and we were pretty darn close to begin with. And now we've settled into this fabulous routine.
Here's to hoping the next six months go a little slower... Posted by Picasa
